Privacy, plainly

ApplyAI ("we", "us") runs Headshot Studio at applyai.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Your first name, work email and job title, plus your mobile number and company if you choose to give them. We also record whether you agreed to receive marketing.

Your photos

Your photo is processed only to create your headshots. We never store your photo.

How your photo is processed

To create your headshots, your photo and chosen style are sent over an encrypted connection to OpenAI's image model through the Lovable AI gateway. This processing happens outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not save your photo or your headshots on our systems; they exist only while your request is processed and in your browser afterwards. Our providers may keep request data for a limited time under their own policies, for example for security and abuse monitoring, and do not use it to train their models under their business terms. Your name, email, job title and any mobile or company you give are stored in our database in Lovable Cloud.

• Lovable (hosting, database and AI gateway)
• OpenAI (image generation)

How we use your details

We use your details to deliver your headshots, to manage the free-set limit, and to improve the service. We don't sell your personal information.

Marketing

We only send career tips and ApplyAI updates if you tick the opt-in box. In line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), every message identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within five working days.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or make a complaint, by emailing hello@applyai.com.au. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
